"Scallops"
Martins Fish Company in west Ocean City recently invited it's patrons to see how scallops are shucked, and explain a few things about the critter and its fishery. It was a very interesting demonstration and quite instructional.

The tiny blue dots are the eyes but they don't see, only sense motion. The scallop is not locked down in the sand like a clam but is very mobile using jets of water to get around......
